Lenovo 7i Hinge Problem. So I got a 7i in April 2021, and I have loved it so far. But today, the right hinge is cracking and I can't really close the laptop anymore. I've heard this is a problem with the 7i. I haven't been rough with it at all. Anyway, my warranty is expired and Lenovo wants to change me $109 just to submit a service request.I have a Lenovo Legion 7 btw:) I run into this at my repair every day, it's not your hinges. Your hinges are fine it's the housing that the screw for the hinges go in. So either the bottom of the computer case needs to be replaced or the backcover of the lcd needs to be replaced.
